Position Summary Corporate Travel Agents are responsible for all aspects of employee business travel. This includes conversing with travelers via multiple channels to qualify travel needs including destination, mode of transportation, dates/times, pricing, and accommodations for both domestic and international travel. The agent will also be responsible for booking, ticketing, maintaining travel itineraries via the Travelport GDS system, and troubleshooting booking tool technical issues for travelers. Job Duties/Essential Functions Resolves any traveler service issues with patience, empathy, and urgency. Creates and changes reservations, including both domestic and international reservations for air, car, and hotel. Ensures timely and accurate ticketing and invoicing. Processes ticket exchanges and refunds. Assists travelers with using online booking tool Deem. Monitors and services the Travelport queue, including schedule changes, fare reduction processes, and ticket accuracy. Works with travelers for direct billing when required. Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery Computer, phone, headset, fax machine, copier, printer Non-Essential Functions Assists in other areas of the department as necessary. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery Same as Essential Functions Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required 2 years’ minimum corporate travel agency or airline experience or 4 years of thorough Travelport experience. Travelport skills, including reservations, pricing, ticketing, exchanges, car, and hotel reservations/modifications. Familiar with published air rules, pricing, exchanges, moderate international city/geography knowledge, and airline hubs and routes. Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Traveler centric attitude – a creative solutionist with strong customer service skills who utilizes available resources and a consultive approach to find better and positive solutions for our travelers. Ability to comprehend the stages of GDS bookings from reservation, QC, invoicing, email, and changes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Positive attitude and ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Maintains confidentiality of data, documentation, projects or other sensitive material. Recommended Overall knowledge of travel industry. Ticketing experience including exchanges. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
