Job Location: Alexandria, LA
Pay: $10.00/hour
Shifts Scheduled Between 9:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Our client, a local restaurant in Alexandria, LA , is looking for a friendly and dependable Cashier to join their team. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and ensuring every guest has a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions
• Answer customer questions regarding menu items and specials
• Maintain a clean and organized front counter area
• Assist with order preparation and packaging as needed
• Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously
• Ensure accuracy when entering orders into the point-of-sale system
• Follow all food safety and company policies

Qualifications

Required

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Preferred

• Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience
• Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
