We are seeking a driven, independent and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Delivery Driver. The role entails both delivery and installation of Restaurant Equipment. You would be trained on the various pieces of equipment to be installed while in our shop. The position requires significant driving time as we cover all of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Our facility is located in Norwood, Massachusetts. We are seeking an independent and reliable candidate who takes pride in his work to maintain the level of service our customers have come to expect from TNE.

Your Responsibilities:

Driving/Deliveries

• Attain DOT Medical Card and pass drug test (CDL not required)
• Maintain Daily Driver log book
• Accommodate an early and fluctuating morning start time. Most first stops are at 7am and could be anywhere in the New England territory.
• Take care in delivering equipment safely without damage
• Accurately complete service work orders for each delivery
• Communicate effectively and respectfully to customers

Warehouse

• Operate forklift and pallet jack
• Help maintain a neat and organized warehouse
• Receive in equipment and assess for any damage
• Prepare equipment for delivery

General

• Ability to work overtime (including a very rare Weekend or night delivery)
• Assist with other areas of the business when necessary
• Maintain assigned company property in accordance with company guidelines

Qualifications and Skills:

• Motor vehicle history and driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• High School diploma or GED
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• Experience driving a box truck preferred

Travel Requirements:

• Daily travel required, whether local or long distance
• Overnight travel may be required though quite rare

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to:
• Lift equipment weighing up to 100 lbs
• Move equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs
• Work in squatted/kneeling position at times
• Endure long hours in a box truck

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
