About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Data Science and Engineering to lead the development of practical, high-performance data infrastructure that drives real-world business value. The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and system design. Key responsibilities for this role include pipeline development, data modeling, system integration, technical strategy, and IP development. The VP will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust ETL/ELT workflows, architecting cloud-based data warehouses, and ensuring secure, reliable connectivity across diverse operating systems. A heavy emphasis is placed on building high-performance data warehouses and pipelines, as well as driving AI-based workflows on top of structured datasets. Applicants for the Vice President of Data Science and Engineering position at the company should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and 4-10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data science. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of operating independently, strong technical skills in SQL and Python, and extensive experience with cloud data platforms and production pipeline orchestration. The ideal candidate will also have experience with financial or operational datasets, familiarity with business intelligence tools, and a background in consulting or client-facing environments. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders, and a keen interest in implementing applied AI tools and automated workflows.
