This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive search engine optimization strategies to increase organic rankings, grow website traffic, and enhance the overall user experience. The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise with creative thinking, working cross-functionally with content, technical, and creative teams to implement SEO best practices across all digital touchpoints. From keyword research and on-page optimization to technical SEO improvements and performance analysis, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring our website remains competitive, visible, and aligned with both user intent and business objectives.

The successful candidate will be proactive, data-driven, and highly collaborative, continuously monitoring industry trends and algorithm updates to keep our digital strategy ahead of the curve.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, website traffic, and visibility across all relevant search engines.

  • Conduct extensive keyword research to identify opportunities for on-page optimization and content creation, ensuring alignment with user intent and business goals.

  • Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and images to ensure the website is search engine-friendly and follows best SEO practices.

  • Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-optimized content that drives engagement and attracts high-quality traffic.

  • Work with the technical team to resolve SEO-related issues, including site speed, mobile optimization, crawlability, and indexing.

  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO platforms to track, analyze, and report on the performance of SEO efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority and search rankings.

  • Monitor competitor SEO strategies and provide recommendations to stay ahead in the industry.

  • Conduct regular SEO audits to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance the overall performance of the site.

  • Stay current with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry news to ensure Silencer Central’s website remains ahead of the competition.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or related field required

  • 2-4 years of proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role in digital marketing.

  • Experience with marketing within the outdoor recreation, hunting, and/or sport-shooting industry preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar.

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and website management tools.

  • Experience with keyword research, content optimization, and backlink strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, departmental, and corporate goals

  • Critical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE.
