Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the full-time remote Senior Technical Animator will integrate and develop animation systems in Unreal Engine 5 for Subnautica 2, focusing on creating polished and performant solutions for gameplay features. Key responsibilities Implement, tune, and maintain animation systems in Unreal Engine 5 that align with artistic and technical requirements Prototype and ship animation, physics, and rigging solutions for real-time gameplay Create and maintain Animation Blueprints, Control Rigs, and animator-facing tools to support efficient content implementation Required qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Technical Animator with at least one shipped Unreal Engine 5 title Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 animation systems, including Animation Blueprints and state-driven animation approaches Real-time character rigging knowledge, including weighting and deformation joints Experience designing tools and workflows that empower animators and streamline production Demonstrated ownership of complex features in a collaborative environment
