Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax law and will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on a wide range of tax-related matters, including compliance, planning, and litigation. This role is crucial in helping our clients navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities - Provide expert legal advice on tax compliance and regulations
- Assist clients with corporate tax matters and international taxation issues
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses
- Conduct thorough legal research on tax laws and IRS regulations
- Advise on estate planning and its tax implications
- Support clients during mergers and acquisitions by providing tax-related guidance and analysis
- Represent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with tax authorities
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a tax attorney
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws, including corporate and international taxation
- Strong skills in tax compliance and planning
- Experience with estate planning and IRS regulations
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
