Pasadena Neuropsychiatry is a dynamic, patient-centered practice located in the heart of the Pasadena theater district specializing in the treatment of complex psychiatric and neurological disorders. We combine state of the art interventional psychiatry procedures such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Spravato treatment with a personalized approach to mental health care, serving a diverse adult and adolescent population.  

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in psychiatry or behavioral medicine. You will work collaboratively with our psychiatrist and clinical staff to deliver high-quality care and support to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians

  • Prescribe medications and monitor treatment efficacy and side effects

  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and wellness strategies

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system

  • Participate in case consultations and staff meetings

     

Qualifications:

  • Current California PA license and NCCPA certification

  • DEA license with schedule II-V prescribing authority (or eligible)

  • Experience in psychiatry, or a related field preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to culturally competent, patient-centered care

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and compassionate, with a strong commitment to patient care. While prior experience is preferred, we welcome recent graduates who are certified and eager to learn in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and room patients, taking vital signs and documenting medical history

Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during psychiatric and neurological evaluations

Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals as needed

Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and securely

Perform administrative tasks including answering phones, managing messages, and processing patient paperwork

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment

Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations

Support providers and clinical team with other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required

Experience: Previous experience in a mental health, neurology, or outpatient clinic is preferred but not required

Technical Skills: Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems; basic computer proficiency

Soft Skills: Strong communication, empathy, organization, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
