This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of meaningful work, contribute to a strong team culture, and continue building a long-term career in Houston.

Why consider this opportunity

This role offers more than day-to-day project oversight. It provides the chance to lead impactful work, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to a practice that values technical quality, client service, and thoughtful project execution.

Candidates stepping into this role can expect:

  • Leadership and ownership across significant architectural projects.

The role

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects through all phases of delivery. This individual will serve as a key liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, helping ensure that scope, schedule, budget, and documentation standards remain aligned throughout the life of each project.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading projects through programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Serving as the primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and overall delivery expectations.
  • Coordinating consultant teams to support complete, accurate, and integrated project documentation.
  • Overseeing drawing production, technical documentation, and internal quality control processes.
  • Supporting permitting, bidding, contractor coordination, and construction-phase administration.
  • Identifying project risks early and resolving issues related to design, schedule, budget, and constructability.
  • Mentoring team members and contributing to a positive, high-performance studio environment.

What the firm is looking for

The ideal candidate is a confident and organized architectural professional with strong project leadership skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to manage complex assignments from concept through completion. This person should be comfortable working directly with clients and consultants while keeping internal teams aligned and productive.

Qualifications include:

  • 7+ years of experience in architectural project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager within an architecture firm.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, consultant coordination, construction documentation, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam is required.
  • Experience with education projects is preferred, or experience with another large project type such as healthcare, civil, commercial, or similar complex work.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and responsiveness.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes, permitting processes, and construction standards.

Compensation and opportunity

Compensation will be competitive and aligned with experience, credentials, and overall fit, with an expected salary range of $100,000-$115,000. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to take on meaningful responsibility, work on large and challenging projects, and continue growing within the Houston architecture market.
