This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Trade and Economic Security. The primary purpose of this position is to utilize analytical and policy-making skills to lead and formulate trade and economic security policy for the Department. The incumbent will develop briefing documents for senior officials and conduct oral briefings to address matters impacting the Department. Non-BU : This is a non-bargaining unit position. Specialized Experience GS-14: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, or private sector equivalent. Analyzing trade policy and economic security matters in the United States, and among international trading partners. Developing program goals, plans, objectives, and policies linked to international trade or customs law enforcement. Creating policy products, or leading interagency initiatives, amongst multiple stakeholders related to trade policy and economic security matters; AND Developing policies, in coordination with U.S. interagency partners, to address economic security and national security risks to trade and investment, including through use of various trade enforcement authorities, import restrictions, or authorities under the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
