Full Time Mental Health Advocates

HRI Hospital is seeking Full Time Mental Health Advocates! HRI Hospital is a 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. As a Mental Health Advocate, you will:

• Monitor patient safety on the inpatient psychiatric units
• Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
• Assist with patient groups and activities

Qualifications Requirements:

• Experience & Education: High School Diploma AND a minimum of 3 years of psychiatric experience OR Bachelor's degree in human services field or current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree AND 1 year of psychiatric experience
• Other: Excellent interpersonal skills Physical Fitness – Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working with patients in acute psychiatric distress
