About the Role In-Office Verde Complete Foot and Ankle Specialists is a busy podiatry practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team full-time. You will play a vital role in supporting our two podiatrists in delivering high-quality care to patients with foot and ankle conditions. This is a hands-on clinical and administrative role — ideal for someone who is organized, empathetic, and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities–Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Assist both podiatrists during procedures: nail care, wound care, minor surgical prep, and injections Prepare and sterilize instruments; maintain a clean, compliant exam room
Apply and remove dressings, casts, splints, and orthotics as directed Collect and process lab specimens; order diagnostic imaging as requested Document accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Handle patient scheduling, prior authorizations, and follow-up communications Maintain adequate supply inventory and restock exam rooms
Serve as a clinical scribe when needed — documenting the physician's findings, assessments, treatment plans, procedure notes, and patient instructions into the EHR during live encounters Ensure patient privacy and HIPAA compliance at all times Qualifications–
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills–– Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitudeCPR/BLS certification is a plusBilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Supportive, collaborative team environment–
Monday–Friday schedule — no nights or weekends High school diploma or GED required; MA certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred Prior MA experience preferred
Podiatry or specialty clinic a plus Strong working knowledge of medical terminology required Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation
Ability to multitask in a high-volume clinical environment
