Logistics Coordinator
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will help support the day-to-day movement of
inventory across Metronet’s supply chain. In this role, you’ll help coordinate
and track inventory moving between our facilities, ensuring materials are where
they need to be and operations continue running smoothly.
This position will also partner closely with internal teams to monitor
distribution activities, maintain inventory flow, and help identify
opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and strengthen overall supply
chain operations. We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented,
and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Coordinate and monitor inbound shipments from suppliers to Metronet’s
facilities by validating ship-to information, order information (purchase
order, part number, etc.), and provide inbound visibility through direct
communication with consignee.
* Facilitate the transfer of inventory movement between 60+ market warehouses
by coordinating directly with demand planning, sourcing & procurement,
warehouse operations lead, and carrier/3PL.
* Work with strategic partners (3PL partners, carriers) to achieve and exceed
cost and service metrics.
* Assist with the onboarding of vendors to Metronet’s Vendor Compliance Manual
by monitoring shipment compliance and answering supplier inquiries.
* Schedule freight movement through carriers & preferred 3PL partner(s) to
ensure timely delivery and service.
* Update and maintain centralized recordkeeping of market warehouses and
contact information.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures and process maps.
- Communicate through phone, email, and teams to resolve shipment issues and
customer inquiries promptly.
- Analyze data and produce reporting for management.
- Audit freight invoices for accuracy and ensure correct general ledger (GL)
coding prior to posting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Highschool Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, transportation, logistics, business, or
related field (preferred) or equivalent experience in
warehouse/logistics/transportation.
- Experience in customs and international logistics is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and Oracle EBS.
- Willingness to work as a team and independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Travel as necessary up to 10%.
- May require after-hours and/or weekend work.
