Job ID: 99108090960Posted: 2026-08-12Location: San Francisco, California, United StatesSalary: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00Category: Executive, Banking & International, Investment BankingCompany: CitiThe Banker is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team.The Banker also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients.The overall objective of this role is to act as strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.Responsibilities:Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) execution and capital raising capabilities and contribute to building Citi's franchiseMeet revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a pipeline of episodic dealsEnsure that proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards,Anticipate future changes in the marketplaceIdentify and anticipate all types of risks (e.g. industry, portfolio, diversification, sovereign, commercial, currency, etc.)Serve as a mentor to junior Bankers, execute staffing models that support business needs and career trajectories for junior staffBuild client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and acting as a content provider on market trendsServe as the expert on regulatory, financial and complex strategic issues relating to corporate finance transactionsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Recommended Qualifications:15+ years of relevant experienceExperience in people managementBachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration preferredMaster's degree in Business Administration preferredExperience working in an investment banking institution(s)Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationDemonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environmentSeries 79 and 63 licensesEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferred------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Institutional Banking------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Investment Banking------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:San Francisco California United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$200,000.00 - $300,000.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
