Quality Control Manager - Federal Projects (Traveling Role)

Location: Traveling - Various Sites Across the U.S.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel Schedule: Rotational Assignment Schedule with Planned Home Time

A well-established federal general contractor with a national footprint is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee QA and QC execution on large-scale, mission critical federal construction programs across the United States. This is a traveling role operating on a structured rotational schedule, offering predictable home time while supporting some of the most complex and highly regulated federal projects in the industry.

Current and upcoming work is located at secure federal installations including Tinker AFB, Fort Smith, Ellsworth AFB, and F.E. Warren AFB, with additional projects nationwide. These programs require strict adherence to federal specifications, quality standards, and inspection protocols.

This opportunity is ideal for Quality Control professionals with strong USACE, NAVFAC, or DOD experience , who are comfortable operating independently on 50M and larger federal projects .

What You Will Do
  • Lead all Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities for large-scale federal construction projects
  • Develop, implement, and manage the project Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract requirements
  • Enforce compliance with USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, and DOD specifications and standards
  • Perform daily quality inspections and coordinate work with field leadership
  • Review submittals for contract compliance prior to field installation
  • Coordinate testing, inspections, and commissioning activities with third-party inspectors and government representatives
  • Maintain all QC documentation, inspection reports, and deficiency logs
  • Identify non-conforming work and ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified
  • Participate in preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings for definable features of work
  • Serve as the primary on-site liaison with government Quality Assurance personnel
  • Support project turnover, punchlist completion, and closeout documentation
  • Travel to project sites on a predictable rotational schedule
What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance leadership role on federal construction projects
  • Direct experience supporting or managing projects valued at 50M or greater
  • Strong working knowledge of USACE, NAVFAC, and DOD quality requirements
  • Experience executing three-phase control processes
  • Familiarity with RMS or similar federal project documentation systems
  • Ability to work independently in secure, regulated, or operational environments
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management platforms
  • OSHA 30 required
  • USACE Quality Control Management for Construction certification required or ability to obtain prior to project start
  • EM 385 experience is a strong plus
