Job Description: As a Construction Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day field construction activities associated with baggage handling system (BHS) project within an active airport environment. The ideal candidate will provide field leadership, coordinate contractors and stakeholders, monitor installation activities, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, TSA standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day field oversight of baggage handling system construction and installation activities. Coordinate contractors, airport operations, design teams, and project stakeholders to support successful project execution. Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and approved schedules. Conduct routine field inspections and identify construction deficiencies, coordinating corrective actions with contractors. Review contractor work for compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and TSA planning and design guidelines. Coordinate BHS installation activities with other airport construction and operational work to minimize impacts to ongoing airport operations. Participate in project meetings, field coordination meetings, testing, commissioning, and system turnover activities. Review and document construction progress, field issues, RFIs, submittals, and change requests, providing timely updates to project leadership. Support ORAT, commissioning, training, and project closeout activities as required. Qualifications: Basic Requirements: Degree in field or equivalent practical experience. 7-10 years of relevant construction management experience Experience supporting aviation baggage handling system construction or implementation project. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree a plus Proven ability to follow through with completion
