Responsibilities:
- This position develops, maintains and enhances complex and diverse Big-Data Cloud systems based upon documented requirements.
- Directly contributes to all stages of back-end processing, analyzing and indexing.
- Provides expertise in Cloud Computing, Hadoop Eco-System including implementing Java applications, distributed computing, information retrieval and object oriented design.
- Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
- Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Provides hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-self (GOTS) in place of new development and requirements analysis and syntheses from system level to individual software components.
Required :
- Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD
- Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer certification
- Computer Network Operations
- Network Management
- Virtualization (VMWare or Virtual Box)
Education :
- Twelve (12) years minimum experience software engineering in programs and contracts
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
- Four (4) years of additional experience utilizing Big-Data cloud technologies and/or Distributed Computing
- Four (4) years of additional cloud software experience on projects with similar Big-Data systems may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Our team members value the flexibility at Lentech that allows them to balance quality work and their personal lives. The range shown below is the national average for the position.
The proposed salary range for this position is: $208,000-$230,000
