DriverSource is seeking a dedicated CDL A Heavy Haul Driver to operate multi-axle equipment on local daily routes originating from Warren, MI. This full-time position offers home daily routes with a structured 7 am to 5 pm schedule, focusing on hauling metal loads. The driver must ensure load security, operate a 13-speed manual transmission, and maintain high safety and professionalism standards as the representative face of the company.

Responsibilities

• Operate multi-axle heavy haul trucks on local daily routes
• Secure loads using straps and load lock bars
• Drive 13-speed manual transmission vehicles proficiently
• Comply with all DOT regulations including hours of service and vehicle inspections
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections consistently
• Handle metal hauling assignments safely and efficiently
• Maintain professional conduct as a company representative

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with at least 2 years of recent verifiable driving experience
• Minimum of 1 year of heavy haul driving experience
• Valid DOT medical card
• No more than 4 moving violations in the past 36 months
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 36 months
• No felony convictions or pending charges in the past 10 years
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Ability to follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations, including use of E-Logs and trip records
• Self-motivated with ability to take direction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-axle heavy haul operations
• Proficiency in operating 13-speed manual transmissions
• Strong knowledge of load securing techniques
• Demonstrated ability to comply with hours of service and safe driving practices
• Professional workplace demeanor and communication skills
